Job Opportunity: Licensed Dental Assistant

Hours: Monday – Friday
 
Scenic Rivers Health Services is a growing nonprofit healthcare organization located throughout northern Minnesota. We provide comprehensive primary care services to our patients through our medical and dental practices. We’re currently seeking a Full Time Licensed Dental Assistant to support our growing dental clinic in Cook, MN.
 
Our dental teams enjoy a positive and fast paced environment in modern and well equipped facilities. This position will work closely with dentists to assist in procedures and perform certain oral treatments.

Responsibilities:
  • Record patient dental and medical histories as well as treatment information in patient records using the EDR system
  • Prepare patient and assist dentist during procedures and dental emergencies
  • Perform applications of sealants, fluorides, and other dental agents for the prevention of dental decay
  • Operate X-ray machines
  • Pour, trim and polish study casts
  • Provide patient education to assist with developing and maintaining good oral hygiene
  • Sterilize and prepare dental equipment prior to patient appointments

Requirements:

  • Active MN Dental Assistant License
  • 2-3 years experience in a dental assistant role preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with chronic disease patients preferred
  • Experience with VisDental or other electronic dental records is also preferred
