Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm; Rotating Saturdays, 8am-Noon

Our healthcare organization is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse / Certified Medical Assistant to join our team of medical providers in Bigfork, MN. This position is a unique role that works in both an administrative function and has direct patient care. In our Nursing department, you'll enjoy a daytime only practice in a fun and positive team environment. 


Responsibilities:
  • Complete medication prior authorizations
  • Initiate prescriptions for provider review and refill
  • Complete insurance referrals as necessary
  • Facilitate the flow of information within the nursing department, including desktop management; routing and delegating patient phone calls and questions; and any provider requests
  • Occasionally work directly with providers to room patients, enter vitals, update medical histories, and administer medications and immunizations
  • Utilize EMR (GE Centricity) to document patient information
  • Assist medical providers as needed
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience with chronic disease patients preferred
  • EMR or EHR experience
  • Patient Care Focus

  • Current MN Nursing License or Certificate
